It depends entirely on what you're asking them to do, and the honest split is worth knowing before you spend money.

Hydration makes lines look softer, reliably and quickly, and it stops looking that way if you stop. That's real, it's most of what a moisturizer delivers, and it's what you'll notice within a day or two. Changing the structure of skin is a different job, and the things with clinical evidence behind them are prescription retinoids and procedures a dermatologist performs.

What Tallow Is Doing

Grass-fed tallow's fatty acid composition is close to the oil your own skin produces, which is why it absorbs into the skin rather than sitting on top. Skin that holds moisture well looks smoother and feels more comfortable, and the fine lines that show up on a dry face are much less obvious on a hydrated one.

It also carries vitamins A, D, E and K2, naturally present in the fat because of what the animal ate. The vitamin E is doing a second job as an antioxidant, which is why the formula needs no preservative.

Raw honey draws moisture toward the skin and holds it there. Between the two, the tallow keeps water in and the honey pulls it in, which is the whole argument for putting them in the same jar.

The Eye Area and Crow's Feet

The skin around your eyes is the thinnest on your face, it moves constantly, and it has fewer oil glands than anywhere else. That combination is why it dries out first and why lines show there before anywhere else.

Use a very small amount, warm it between your fingertips, and press it in around the orbital bone rather than rubbing. Keep it off the lash line and out of your eyes. If your eye area is reactive, use Blanco rather than The Alamo, since there's nothing added for scent in it.

Consistency does more than quantity here. A thin layer every day beats a thick one now and then.

Menopause and Mature Skin

Skin usually changes around menopause. As estrogen drops it holds less water, and dryness, thinning and a new touchiness are all common. That's a hormonal shift, and no moisturizer changes hormones.

Does moisturizing help with wrinkles?
It helps how they look, which is worth having, and it doesn't change the skin's structure. Hydrated skin plumps slightly and reflects light more evenly, so fine lines are less visible on it. Dry skin does the opposite. The effect is real and it's also reversible: stop moisturizing and it goes away. Anyone promising you more than that from a cream is selling something.
Do wrinkle creams work?
Most of them do exactly one thing well, which is hydrate, and that genuinely makes skin look better. The ones with evidence for changing skin structure are prescription retinoids, and they come with irritation and sun sensitivity as part of the deal. An over-the-counter cream that claims to do what a prescription does is usually relying on you not checking.
Is tallow good for anti-aging?

Is tallow the same as retinol?
No. Retinol is a specific vitamin A derivative that acts on receptors in the skin, and prescription-strength versions have real clinical evidence behind them. The vitamin A in tallow is present naturally in the fat and is not the same thing, in form or in strength. If retinol is what you want, get it from a dermatologist rather than from us.
What helps with crow's feet?
Keeping the area hydrated softens how they look, day to day. Sun protection matters more than any cream for how quickly they deepen. Beyond that you're into dermatology, and a good practitioner will tell you honestly what's worth doing. What we'd suggest is a small amount of balm pressed gently around the orbital bone, every day, and sunscreen.
